Job: Continuing Medical Education Manager

To manage all aspects of Science Cares CME program, identifying new CME clients/opportunities, conducting CME activities, and overseeing CME accreditation processes and activities.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

1. Hands-on and direct management of all CME functions. Oversight of the creation and administration of CME certification files for every CME activity; processing and issuance of all CME certificates for certified activities to qualified physicians; distribution and collection of all relevant CME forms and disclosures from faculty, planning committee members, and contributors of CME activities. Prepare Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) annual reports. Assure compliance with ACCME Essentials for all certified education activities/meetings.

2. Lead role in the ACCME re-accreditation effort with direct responsibility for overall program compliance.

3. Lead role in the coordination of educational courses, with oversight of faculty, educational content, logistics, and on-site management of event.

4. Assist the VP of Professional Education with solicitation of new CME clients. This includes in-person efforts, electronic and voice communications, and the utilization of Science Cares contact management system. Act as the liaison between departments for individual CME activities marketing efforts.

5. Assist the VP of Professional Education, the executive team, and other managers with activities and efforts related to the development of new lines of business or opportunities for Science Care.

6. Work closely with other Science Care managers and the executive team to help Science Care expand educational services to regional training facilities and increase partnership opportunities with third party training facilities.



Other Functions/Responsibilities:

1. Assists with the preparation of organizational and project related budgets. Assists in the creation of financial reports and tracking of information for various projects.

2. Assist with various administrative functions.

Position Dimensions:

1. Bachelors degree required.

2. Must have a strong knowledge of the CME enterprise.

3. Must have a strong knowledge of the ACCME Essentials, Elements, Policies, and Standards as well as and accreditation requirements.

4. 3+ years of managerial experience.

5. 2+ years managing in a continuing medical education unit.

6. Must be organized, diplomatic, creative and efficient in overseeing, delegating and managing multiple activities and projects.

7. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

8. Working experience with various computer software applications including database, spreadsheet, and word processing software (Word, Excel, Access)

9. Ability to work under deadline pressure.

10. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

11. Attention to detail a must.

12. Travel expected (20%).

13. Available to work weekends.
