Job: Sr Financial Analyst

Applies principles of cost accounting to conduct analyses and studies which provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems. Plans, studies and collects data to determine costs of business activity, such as call center sales and service, fulfillment and information technologies. Analyzes data obtained and records results, using computer. Analyzes changes in products, services and methods to determine effects on costs. Analyzes actual delivery costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual costs. Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. May develop and install manual or computer-based cost accounting system.


Develops intergraded revenue/expense analyses monthly, quarterly, and annually, and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.


Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.


A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected


The Financial Analyst will be involved in developing an operating budgets and forecasts.


Specialized knowledge required - strong analytical, financial modeling, and critical reasoning skills.


Maintain ISO Security Compliance Requirements.



Essential Functions:


Administer the cost accounting system in order to provide financial analytical support to management.


Design and maintain the integrity of internal controls and communicate results to accounting management. Frequent independent judgments are essential.


Prepare month-end reports for analysis and journal entry support.


Review cost accounting standards as part of the cost accounting system.


Prepare month-end actual to budget variance analysis.


Prepare reports for weekly management meetings.


Perform various and sundry cost analyses and forecasting.

Requirements: BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major.

5 years of directly related experience minimum

Excellent computer skills, exceptional spreadsheet skills

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Significant knowledge of generally accepted financial analysis or accounting principles, applications, and accounting systems.
