Job: Chief Pilot - PHX

Progressive, expanding, well established Phoenix-based Aviation Company with Fixed Base Operations (FBO) facilities located throughout the Southwestern United States is looking for individuals with great customer service skills to join our growing team!

Founded in 1928, Cutter Aviation is one of the country’s oldest General Aviation service companies. Cutter operates at eight major airports in the Southwest in the states of Arizona (Deer Valley and Phoenix), New Mexico (Albuquerque), Colorado (Colorado Springs) and Texas (Dallas, El Paso, McKinney and San Antonio). Cutter sells, services and maintains business and privately owned aircraft. Our products and services include aircraft fueling and guest services, aircraft maintenance and sales, and air charter and aircraft management services.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Cutter Aviation is currently searching for an energetic and knowledgeable aviation professional. The Chief Pilot will function as the primary face of Cutter Aviation and must be an exceptional relationship builder with the drive to provide world-class customer service to our clients. The Pilot is effectively the Company’s 'store-front' in the field. He/she is the external representative of our company to our A/C owners, operators, business partners, and to the business aviation community.

• Location: Phoenix, Arizona (KPHX)


• Reporting to: Director of Operations


• Hours: Variable


• Availability: Must be available no later than November 1, 2009

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Provide leadership and guidance to an expanding crew complement.


• Be able to provide innovative solutions to operational and economic challenges.


• Ability to be qualified as a company Check Airman.


• Ability to adapt to demanding flight / office schedule.


• Act as PIC in Part 91 and 135 on-demand charter operations.


• Ability to be available 24/7 year round.


• Ensuring compliance with FAA regulations pertaining to actual flight, qualifications, currency and fitness for flight as well as aircraft compliance


• Follow established procedures for reporting irregularities during flights, ground checks, and maintaining records


• Must be a self starter able to operate with little or no direct supervision.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience as Chief Pilot or Director of Operations.


• Extensive experience in King Air or;


• Current Type Rating in King Air 350, BE-400 or Citation XL


• 3000 hours Total Time


• 1500 PIC


• 250 hrs PIC in at least one type above.


• No Accidents, Incidents or Sanctions.


• Must meet requirements of Part 119.71(c) without waiver


• Able to meet two hour callout to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport [KPHX]


• Valid, current Pilots License issued by the FAA


• Current 1^st Class Medical


• No accidents, incidents or sanctions in the past 5 years


• Knowledge of general aviation aircraft and their service requirements plus the needs of crews and passengers


• Ability to train pilots to properly perform their functions


• A sincere desire to assist customers and be part of a team


• Must be a self starter


• Excellent Customer Service, Organizational, and Communication Skills


• Professional in appearance and mannerisms


• Initiative


• Able to develop a friendly rapport


• Attention to detail


• Excellent Ability To Multi-Task


• Ability to lift 50 lbs

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Current Part 135.293/297 in Type


• FSI or Simuflite Training

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to pass a drug screening test


• Able to pass a background check


• Clean driving record


• Must have High School Diploma or GED
