St. Joseph's Healthy Steps Program within the PEDIATRIC AMBULATORY CARE CENTER is designed to enhance and expand preventive pediatric care for children birth to 3 years, utilizing developmental assessment tools, as well a behavioral and psychosocial screening tools.

JOIN US NOW as we are seeking a Healthy Steps Coordinator who will coordinate and implement activities and functions of the Healthy Steps Program. Successful candidate will have previous child development experience with teaching and leadership skills.

The Healthy Steps Program Coordinator will provide ongoing developmental training of pediatric residents, instruction of residents during well-child exams, individual developmental screening of patients, and information distribution to parents with the contest of the well-child exam.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Educational Requirements:
BS/BA IN CHILD DEVELOPMENT, FAMILY STUDIES, NURSING, PSYCHOLOGY OR CLOSELY RELATED FIELD, MASTER'S PREFERRED

Experience Requirements:
3-5 years previous experience in early child growth and development, parent-child relationships, child health and family systems and teaching of residents in a medical setting, Must be bi-lingual, English/Spanish


Qualifications:

Masters degree in Child Development, Family Studies, or Psychology PLUS 2-3 years of experience in early childhood growth and development are required.



Bilingual, English/Spanish required.
