Job: PROPERTY & EVIDENCE SUPERVISOR

This position is responsible for all evidence and property impounded by police officers. Due to the nature of the job, the incumbent must be fully aware of methods and procedures to maintain security of items and provide special handling of highly sensitive items. This is a supervisory position and requires the ability to supervise, train, motivate and evaluate the work of subordinate personnel; deal tactfully and courteously with the public and officials; communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing; and to demonstrate integrity, ingenuity and inventiveness in the performance of assigned tasks.

Minimum Job Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED equivalency; and
· Three (3) to five (5) years experience in property accountability, warehousing, police work or related work;
· Must be capable of being bonded;
· Valid Arizona Class “B” Driver’s License; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Desirable Qualifications:

· Supervisory experience and prior experience working in a police department environment.
