Overview: This position performs a variety of activities to enhance the lives of the residents. These duties include, but are not limited to, activities, serving and preparing food, laundry, light housekeeping, and helping residents with personal care need. Responsibilities: Assists residents with personal care needs.Plans, initiates and adheres to outlined activity program, promoting a home environment of fun, achievement and creativity. Organizes assigned tasks and assumes responsibility for functioning of the unit. Understands and carries out resident service plans.Ensures the safety and dignity of residents. Ensures proper nutrition for all residents. Observes patients and reports signs and symptoms of medical, cognitive, and behavioral problems. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Banner Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our Performance Standards each and every day. Banner's Performance Standards include: Safety, Attitude, Responsiveness, Communication, Comfort, Privacy, Appearance, Teamwork, and Accountability.

High school diploma or equivalentCertified Caregiver Certification Must have at least 3 months experience healthcare related experience. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to follow established policies and treatment procedures. Must be 18 years of age or older and have, or be able to obtain, current CPR and First Aid certifications.Current food handler's card preferred.CNA's without a Certification as a Certified Care Giver are considered a assistant Care Giver.
