SUMMARY
Handle busy incoming calls from customers and meet "Essential Duties and Responsibilities" outlined below. Preferred candidate will have demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, including providing quality service and maintaining strong personal relationships with internal and external customers in support of the overall selling effort. Will need to work holidays and weekends as scheduled. Some overtime may be required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Receives & processes customer orders according to the sales representative's daily instruction. Handles customer calls, by phone and/or in person, and processes orders through our internal software system and sales laptop tools. Processes orders through various software systems, edits electronically sent orders, and works closely with the sales representatives to resolve issues. Responsible to update and maintain daily call sheets used to monitor orders. 10-key by touch, previous experience with Microsoft Windows and computer skills a must. Provides clerical support to Sales team members and Sales Managers. Handles and researches customer complaints concerning deliveries, product challenges, return requests, and pricing issues. Must work closely with other departments. Self-starter and self-motivation are essential characteristics for total job enhancement, time management and team based attitude drive entire department. Must be adaptable to Inter-department cross training. Clerical duties include: filing, sorting paperwork, report distribution, e-mail distribution, tracking orders (spreadsheet and word processing optional). Must be able to follow directions and procedures. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED; one or more years related experience and/or training in customer service LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must be able to take telephone orders and enter information into the computer. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to communicate and resolve confrontational issues. Excel and Windows 2007 with the ability to create and maintain data bases and other documents. Ability to work in fast pace, busy environment and effectively deal with a variety of interruptions.
