RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide Sr. level reporting services in supporting company business goals by developing new and maintaining existing reports that provide critical information necessary for the company's successful growth. The reporting tool that is currently used is Crystal Reports V8.5 with Business Objects Enterprise XI. Design, code, test, debug and document reports, while enhancing existing reports to ensure that applications continue to meet user and business needs Meet with end users, business owners to gather requirements for new reports, and enhancements to existing reports Develop new reports for business operations Troubleshoot reporting problems by determining error messages and debugging user problems, identifying and resolving application system operating problems to ensure continuous business operations Analyze poor performing reports to diagnose issues and provide solutions to increase end-user productivity Interface with user management regarding project status and user needs to promote an environment of user cooperation and satisfaction Responsible for unit testing reports and initiating end-user testing and acceptance Responsible for assisting in the conversion of existing Crystal Reports V8.5 to Business Objects Enterprise XI Provide training and documentation on report usage to customer Review data access code for correctness and best possible methods Lead performance tuning and troubleshooting activities as required Provide training and documentation in Crystal Report development to business users Skills / Requirements
B.S. in computer science, MIS or equivalent experience
required. 5 to 10 years of Crystal Report design and development Advanced knowledge of Business Objects Enterprise XI 5 years of database programming Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential. Adaptable to flexible work schedules. Ability to maintain professional image and work environment. Ability to organize, plan, prioritize and follow through on work. Strong Database Performance Tuning Skills. Ability to gain, understand and apply information and data as it relates to Information Ability to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Thorough Knowledge of personal computer software applications including Microsoft Office Products. Preferred knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials v9.x and experience with PeopleSoft reporting tools: NVision, SQR, and Crystal Reports running against PeopleSoft. Familiarity with Finance and Accounting business processes (A/P, A/R, G/L, Billing, Asset Management, Purchasing, etc.) is preferred. Important Notes
