Kyocera is one of the world's largest vertically-integrated producers and suppliers of solar energy products. Our American solar division is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, with regional sales affiliates in the Americas and Australia.

We are currently looking for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to interface and support Outside Sales Managers to help them achieve their revenue/profit and market share goals. The CSR will provide direct administrative support as needed on a daily basis to help develop and retain customer accounts.

Job Functions:

  • Provide ongoing customer and sales support for Sales and communicate with Sales Manager on daily basis.
  • Provide administrative support Sales Manager; Maintain the Outlook contacts file; Execute order entry and maintain individual customer files in SAP; Answer all incoming phone calls and forward them as appropriate; Coordinate with Sales Manager filling of product and modules forecast sheets.
  • Manage monthly allocation of modules (communicate to customers orders scheduled to ship by Sales Manager, commit product, follow up payments and get orders off hold, monitor shipment status and coordinate with Shipping preparation of export documentation as needed. Prepare Proforma Invoices when required by customers.
  • Execute Order Entry and monitor Orders Status, anticipate and resolve potential delays.
  • Review backlog report and coordinate with Purchasing Department timely availability of product on back order. Re schedule orders if necessary.
  • Coordinate with Credit and Collections AR status; Send account balance to customers and perform front-end collections.
  • Credit clearance assistance: gather and compile credit, trade and other relevant information provided by the customer; assemble Credit Application info package to submit to Accounting; maintain Credit Application log and follow up progress and communicate status to customer.
  • Coordinate literature inventory with Marketing and coordinate individual and bulk mailings with Shipping
  • Coordinate with marketing: Trade show logistics; CoOp program customer's applications; update of Dealer Locator and Spanish literature in the web site.
  • Attend: Sales Meetings, relevant Technical Training as well as Dealer Meetings and Trade Shows when required.
  • Assist price quoting of components and distribution of price lists.
  • Assist the Industrial Business unit as needed.
  • Coordinate large international shipments through freight forwarders; prepare relative international shipping documentation.
  • Prepare monthly reports compiling the sales results from SAP.
  • Other duties as assigned and as necessary.



  • Skills / Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent technical/solar experience is preferred.

  • Export experience as well as 3+ years proven work experience in logistics and distribution preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English & Spanish required.

  • Evidence of ability to manage complex processes with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent computer skills.

  • Operational experience with SAP is a plus.

  • Sales experience a plus.

  • Must be well organized & able multi-task.

  • Must have the ability to work effectively with others with a positive, professional attitude.
