Job: Avaya Specialist - Avaya Certified Professional

Avaya Specialist needed for local technology firm to support their internal VoIP and WAN systems. This position is responsible for multi-site operations nationwide and overseas, so some travel will be required. Will be called upon to manage several projects at once - both large and small - for hardware / software troubleshooting; phone systems & WAN design, implementation and upgrades; wireless systems; communications devices; internet; and cabling. In addition, will manage projects and technical resources (internal staff and consultants) as needed for new technology roll-outs, upgrades and implementations. You will be relied upon to solve problems, manage changes with the systems, and research new technologies to integrate voice networking, data networking, and applications into powerful business communications solutions. Looking for a well-rounded individual who will look at the big picture.

Requirements:
• Avaya certification (minimum of ACA, prefer ACS or ACE) required
• 3+ years experience in the design, installation, configuration, programming, set-up, and management of Avava VoIP phone systems and related networking technologies
• Experience managing phone trees and SDMS systems
• Working knowledge of current networking technologies, including: gateways, Cisco switches, Cisco routers, and any Avaya products
• Cisco certifications, such as CCNP, desired, but not required
• Experience with wireless systems, video conferencing, layered routers & switches, and related hardware, operating systems and software applications as needed to perform the above duties
