Technical Support Specialists Provide ongoing remote and on site technical support to a variety of client networks and or telecommunication environments with excellent customer service skills, a strong level of technical expertise and the ability to effectively communicate
Hours are full-time Monday through Friday from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm or 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Additional hours and on call support may be required before or after normal business hours and on Saturdays/Sundays dependent upon client needs.
Position is primarily located in Arizona but will require periodic travel to other states for client support. Please read entire description to insure your resume and or application is complete.
Network Technical Support Specialist Responsibilities:
Install, Configure, Troubleshoot and resolve all hardware issues on a variety of equipments such as; workstations, servers, laptops, printers, scanners, network fax, hand-held devices, routers, switches and wireless connectivity via phone and on site support
Troubleshoot and resolve software issues for a variety of software applications and operating systems (primarily Microsoft Operating Systems)
Troubleshoot and resolve Telecommunications Issues with Televantage Phone Systems
Help to train employees on areas of expertise
Constant communication with clients regarding their issues, resolutions and time frames
Perform routine maintenance on client servers and workstations
Provide clear and concise documentation of all problems and resolutions in Helpdesk sofware on a daily basis
Support management and co-workers, attend and participate in staff meetings and training
Perform additional tasks as necessary
Perform all job tasks in accordance with company policies, procedures and performance measures
Skills / Requirements
Network Technical Support Specialist Requirements:
Working Knowledge and experience with Microsoft operating systems and software products including but not limited to: Windows 2000 Server and Professional, XP Professional, Vista, Windows 2003, Small Business Server, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Administration, Microsoft Back Office, Active Directory and Group Policy Configuration
Working knowledge of IP addressing protocols, LAN and Wan configurations
Firewall Security (Hardware)
VPN, Remote Access and Terminal Server configuration and support
Minimum 2 years Network configuration and support experience supported by job history on resume
Minimum 2 years Hardware and software support experience supported by job history on resume
Minimum 2 years experience with Cisco or other Router configuration supported by job history on resume
Minimum 2 years experience with Microsoft Office Products knowledge and support including Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer
Minimum 2 years end user support (experience must include both phone and on site support)
High School Diploma and some college or technical school training in Information Technology

Quality Oriented with attention to detail and ability to analyze information accurately
Proven writing and documentation skills
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and responsibilities

Utilize continuing education, classes and seminars to stay up to date and educated in the constantly changing technological environment
Telecommunications Experience an added plus
