Overview: This is a Banner Staffing Services position offering the flexibility of hours to suit your lifestyleThis position is specific to a facility based on the East Side of PhoenixWe are looking for an RN gto work approx 2-3 8 hour shifts per week in an Outpatient setting This candidate will be expected to individualize care according to age specific needs. Patient ages range from newborn to geriatric. Provides service in multiple environments dependent upon patient condition and need. Plans, provides and evaluates patient centered nursing care provided through a faciliies Wound and Ostomy Service program. patients' daily Acts as a resource to the hospital nursing department and nursing units. Directs, orients, counsels, educates, and evaluates to assure the highest quality of patient services are provided. Provides skilled wound and ostomy specialty care to at risk individuals. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Assesses patients with stoma, wound and continence problems. Makes recommendations for treatment, implements interventions, and evaluates outcomes. Assesses the educational and training needs of patients and family members, and provides learning opportunities appropriate for the individual. Documents care in the patient record completely and in a timely manner. 2. Provides information, in-services, and educational programs for other members of the healthcare team and nursing students. Maintains certifications and competencies as required by the department. 3. Attends committee/departmental meetings as required or as requested by the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Director. 4. Performs other related duties to support the scope of services. Participates in quality improvement activities and assists in revising policies and procedures as requested. Maintains statistics as requested.5. Assumes responsibility for his/her own professional growth6 Promotes and practices good customer relation skills by demonstrating proficiency in the areas of conflict management, problem resolution and complaint management. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Banner Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our Performance Standards each and every day. We will require that the sucessful candidate have one of the following: 1.CWOCN - Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse 2.CWS - Certified Wound Specialist. Three years of current experience in the wound care field. 3. Three years of current experience in the wound care field.
