Job: Showroom Consultant

Unique Building Concepts is a fast growing natural stone and glass tile wholesale distributor in Phoenix, Arizona. We are positioned for Luxury Home Builders, Architects and Interior Designers who seek uniqueness and individuality.

We are hiring for a dynamic Showroom Consultant person to help us support our customers in our beautiful showroom.

• Deliver outstanding Customer service in the Showroom.
o Warm and sincere greeting upon arrival
o Refreshments when appropriate
o Provide samples and accurate information
o Escort Customers into the Warehouse only when necessary, monitoring the situation for safety
o Follow up with those Customers receiving samples to determine interest level
o Be prepared to frequently be working with more than one Customer at a time
o Refer Customer to Design as appropriate
o Participate in cleaning and organizing the Showroom to keep the displays visually exciting and enticing. Be a willing and effective contributor to the maintenance and operation of the Showroom.
• Demonstrate outstanding product knowledge.
o Our advice does not replace the need for an estimate from the contractor but we can provide a close approximation of the material required based on basic measurements.
o Ensure knowledge of UBC product line including new additions, specials, shortages, and estimated delivery timeframes
o Maintain current industry knowledge by seeking information from recognized experts, publications and other staff
• Monitor Showroom activity for safety and cleanliness.
o Watch for dangers or possible accidents (ladders, liquids, product, etc)
o Monitor children and occasionally supervise while adults shop
o Monitor showroom displays for possible accidents waiting to happen (falling tiles)
• Deliver outstanding Customer service to Customers not at UBC.
o Take incoming phone calls to place orders or seek status or information on all accounts
o Seek order clarification when required
o Place calls to notify of product arrivals or delays
o Place follow-up calls on aged items at will-call

The candidate must possess the following:

1-2 Years of Sales Experience

Excellent presentation and listening skills

Knowledge within the Flooring and/or building supply industry

A full understanding of the product lines we carry and promote

Responsible for ensuring that customers receive the best of service everytime they visit
