The Account Manager, Employee Benefits, will be an integral part of developing new employee benefit plan business for the firm and managing current accounts. In this role, the Account Manager will work with multiple Producers and Account Executives. The Account Manager will bid new accounts and renewals, and assist with preparation of proposals. The Account Manager will maintain regular contact with clients and be responsible for client satisfaction, becoming the point of contact for the client for day to day matters. In addition, the Account Manager will conduct open enrollment meetings, market benefit plans, compile information to present to clients and create materials used to educate employees about their benefit plans.
Our Account Managers love working with their clients and love the satisfaction they get from taking good care of clients and working to solve problems and answer questions. There is a lot to learn, but you will learn from the very best in the business.
Skills / Requirements
The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, and college courses or a Bachelors Degree is strongly preferred, but not required. The Account Manager must have or be able to obtain an Arizona State Life and Disability Insurance Certification within one month of hire. Exceptional Customer Service and time management skills are a requirement, as demonstrated by past performance and references. This position also requires exceptional attention to detail with respect to timely service delivery to clients, and a professional approach to clients at all times. We will require a minimum of 3 - 5 years in the Employee Benefits Insurance industry as Sr. Benefits Specialist or Account Manager. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills to deal extensively with clients, carriers, vendors, etc. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a requirement, as constant contact with clients is vital to the success of the job.
