Description

Job Title: Spa Cleaning Attendant

Department: Housekeeping

Reports to: Director of Housekeeping

Status: Full time, Non-exemp

Specific Shift Start/End Times: 3:30-12:00am or 5:30pm-2:30am



JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for clean treatment rooms and spa facilities by adhering to the Sanctuary Commitments.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Courtyard cleaning duties:

  • • Wipe down chairs and tables and straighten up.

    • Sweep entire area as well as the stairs leading to the pool and tennis courts as needed.

    • Spot clean windows on spa café and spa boutique.


  • Movement Studio cleaning duties:

  • • Sweep underneath wooden tables and the floor.

    • Wipe off the ballet bar with stainless steel cleaner.

    • Clean black cabinet and all handles and doors.

    • Empty out garbage cans and wipe out.


  • Weekly Movement Studio cleaning duties:

  • • Clean underneath Yoga bins, light fixtures, mirrors (including the tops), air vents, and stereo equipment.

    • Sweep out corners and edges.

    • Dust off TV , shelf and clock.

    • Wipe off base boards.


  • Office cleaning duties:

  • • Empty trash and change liners.

    • Vacuum carpets.

    • Clean glass doors, desk tops and picture ledges.


  • Break room and Restrooms:

  • • Clean sink, counter tops, toilet, mirrors, etc.

    • Empty the trash; replace liners and supplies, etc.

    • Wipe down the tables and doors.

    • Sweep and mop floors; vacuum carpets.


  • Treatment rooms and hallways cleaning duties:

  • • Clean counter tops, sink, all fittings, sticky marks off door handles, and door frames.

    • Wipe off base boards and cupboard doors.

    • Empty trash cans and replace liners.

    • Sweep and mop the floors.


  • Weekly treatment rooms and hallways cleaning duties:

  • • Remove marks from walls and wax from carpets.

    • Dust off wall shelves and hi dust walls and ledges.

    • Sweep out corners and edges.

    • Clean the black lantern, door frames and windows.


  • Zen Garden cleaning duties:

  • • Sweep up any trash.

    • Dust off the chairs.


  • Sanctum cleaning duties:

  • • Clean the shower area and polish all chrome fittings.

    • Wipe down all furniture.

    • Sweep and mop floor.

    • Dust off the massage tables and walls as needed.


  • Watsu pool cleaning duties:

  • • Sweep up any trash.

    • Dust off furniture.


  • Locker rooms cleaning duties:

  • • Dust all furniture, pictures and ledges

    • Pump up all cushions, etc.; put furniture back in correct position.

    • Clean the locker room attendant ' s desk area.

    • Wipe off shelves and counter tops.

    • Empty trash cans and towel baskets.

    • Vacuum the carpets.


  • Locker rooms weekly cleaning duties:

  • • Spot clean walls, windows and door frames

    • Wipe off baseboards and edge carpets.

    • Clean door saddles and A/C vents.

    • Remove smudges from lockers.


  • Reception area cleaning duties:

  • • Clean the counter tops, doors to locker rooms

    • Dust off chairs and arrange cushions.

    • Remove trash and replace liners.

    • Sweep floors and edges as needed, mop.

    • Spot clean windows.


  • Fitness area cleaning duties:

  • • Wipe down and surface of the drinks table, disinfect water fountains.

    • Clean around the fitness machines, the wooded table, light switches, thermostats, and all wall mirrors.

    • Dust off equipment.

    • Empty garbage cans and replace liners.


  • Reception area weekly cleaning duties:

  • • Sweep carpet edges all around the room and under equipment; wipe down baseboards.

    • Dust window ledges and remove cobwebs.

    • Clean air vents and light fittings.


  • Shower area cleaning duties:

  • • Clean shower walls, shower floors, glass doors, and all chrome fittings in showers, mirrors, sinks, counter tops, urinals, glass screens and toilets.

    • Scrub grouting and polish all stainless steel.

    • Wipe off green plastic chairs, glass shelves.

    • Empty trash cans and towel baskets, replace liners.

    • Sweep and mop floors.


  • Shower area weekly cleaning duties:

  • • Wipe down gray wall tiles and Scrub the gray base tiles; wipe window ledges.

    • Remove any finger marks from paint work.

    • Clean A/C vents and chrome under sinks.


  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Assistant Spa Director or Housekeeping Director.


  • Skills / Requirements

    SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

    The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Ability to maintain a pleasant disposition and function efficiently in high stress/pressure work environment.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to be self motivated and work with minimal supervision.
  • Professional, flexible and positive attitude.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Ability to stand continuously to perform essential job functions.
  • Requires extending arms, bending and stooping to reach materials and carry heavy loads.
  • Ability to carry at least 50 lbs.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of guests' needs.
  • Previous Housekeeping experience preferred
