The Family Consultant I provides intensive homebase services (case management services) to families involved with Child Protective Services (CPS). This position provides parenting skills training, crisis management and links families to community resources. Will work closely with CPS staff and other service providers. The Family Consultant I may also supervise visitation and provide transportation. Family Consultant I may be assigned to work within any "In Home services" and "Parent Aide" contracts requiring this level of education and experience including, "Family Support Worker" or "Parent Aide".
on service plan, coordination of care with CPS and other involved services, and linking families with needed resources. Includes being available to families in crisis, flexible work schedule. Must maintain all of the functions for each case as assigned by supervisor. Communicates directly and regularly with other team members, and outside agencies and services, regarding participant needs and progress in order to ensure coordinated services that best meet the participants‚ needs. Complete client record documentation professionally, on-time, using the Agency‚s electronic medical record system. Participate in regular staff meetings, JFCS agency meetings as required, and community and client related meetings as a representative of JFCS when appropriate.
Skills / Requirements
Bachelor's degree in behavioral health related field or a Bachelors degree in any discipline. One year of behavioral health or social services work experience preferred. Must hold a valid Arizona Driver‚s License and be able to transport children. Ability to receive and maintain fingerprint clearance card.
