Easter Seals Blake Foundation is currently seeking Early Childhood Therapists for locations in Casa Grande and Globe.

Opportunity to work in an expanding program that provides Early Childhood Mental Health therapeutic interventions with children birth to six and their families in Pinal County.

Responsibilities:
* Provide Dyadic Parent-Child Relationship Therapy
* Provide play-based therapy for young children.
* Provide individual, couples and family counseling.
* Write evaluations, progress reports and notes.
* Attend and participate in staff meetings and required trainings.
* Apply early childhood mental health counseling methods and techniques
* Evaluate the progress of therapeutic interventions and to make individual modifications
* Make home visits to accommodate families? needs and schedules
* Participate on interdisciplinary teams with other professionals and families assist families in meeting their identified goals

The mission of the Children and Family Services Division is to offer supports and services which promote healthy relationships within families and communities by assisting and encouraging individuals to grow, learn and achieve their goals through inclusive, developmentally appropriate education, timely assessment and intervention, and respectful, reflective partnerships.

Skills / Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology, specializing in children and families. Experience in providing psychotherapy and in working with young children and infants. Bilingual in Spanish-English preferred.

Knowledge of:
* Adult and Infant Mental Health principles, methods, procedures, and standards
* Child Welfare Systems
* Family Systems Theory, Developmental Theory, Ecological Systems Theory
* Infant, toddler, and child development
* Principles of family-centered services, including natural environments and routine based intervention
* Community and state resources
* Cultural diversity and differences, especially those specific to the southwestern United States, and implications for appropriate service delivery
* Relationship based practices and the parallel process
* Crises intervention techniques and local resources
* Brief therapy methods

Skills in:
* Counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy with children, adults and families, applying various counseling methods and techniques
* Effective communication with a variety of people from various socio-economic and educational backgrounds
* Interviewing families, children and their caregivers, to determine level of family functioning, psycho-social history
* Administration of standardized assessment tools for children birth to age six; ability to score and interpret using psychometrics
* Documentation and report writing per contract requirements
* Working effectively as part of a team

You will learn how to assess, diagnose, build upon your observation skills, and use standardized testing with infants, toddlers, young children and their families experiencing difficulties in their relationship, family dynamics or in overcoming trauma
