About Us Total Transit, Inc. is an Arizona Corporation founded in 1984 by Craig and Christine Hughes. Total Transit, Inc. offers taxi, non-emergency ambulatory, behavioral, wheelchair, stretcher, and bariatric transportation. We also offer airport service as well as scheduled routed service. Our most recent venture is Transportation Management. We are currently entering our 22nd consecutive profitable year.
Since its inception, Total Transit, Inc. has been offering an increasing number of services for private and government organizations as well as the general public in the metropolitan Phoenix and Tucson areas. We are the parent company of several divisions including Discount Cab which supplies taxicab transportation for ambulatory clients; and Meditrans which supplies non-emergency vans equipped for wheelchairs, stretchers and bariatrics.
Our corporate headquarters is located off of 46th Avenue and Camelback Road with satellite facilities in Mesa, Tucson and Prescott Valley. We are very open to expansion in all of Arizona. These four facilities operate over 400 vehicles with over 550 drivers and provide 24-hour service for 1.75 million trips per year. Throughout our 20 year history we have continually increased our fleet size and clientele by adhering to constantly exploring innovative methods to provide customer service.
For the past three years we have invested heavily in management, facilities, technologies and best practices for continued growth over the next ten years. This kind of growth requires having the ‘right’ people on-board to support this sophisticated network and infrastructure. The result of our planning and investments is that our customers receive better, and continually improving, service.
