From One Mother To Another a Tucson based nonprofit committed to the children in our community. We believe to maximize our impact on Tucson's children we must support their families.
From One Mother To Another provides to strollers, clothes, cribs, car seats and much more to families in need of assistance. Everything we give our families has been donated to us from the community. We then deliver the donations directly to the families. From One Mother to Another is not affiliated with and religious or political institutions. We help families in need, no questions asked. We have a small profile that we complete for every family to assess their needs.
From One Mother to Another's secondary goal is to develop relationships in Tucson with a variety of organizations and businesses to connect families with the services that they need.
Who started From One Mother to Another?
This is our story...
It all started with the birth of Naomi's first son, Elijah. The beginning months were trial by fire. There was so much to learn and we felt like there was so much at stake. Naomi's first instinct was to get public assistance. She was certain there was help out there. We found the application process difficult and learned that needing help did not necessarily qualify us for help.
Advice, kind words, humor, and tons of hand-me-downs from other mothers (and fathers) were key to our survival in the beginning. We used these gifts to provide for our families. Every time we were given a bag of clothes or groceries we thought of those who weren't so fortunate. We thought of mothers who don't have a network of friends and families to support them. We became passionate about sharing what we had with other mothers.
Over the years we have been blessed with more children and made some amazing friendships with fellow moms and dad. We realized this is what we wanted to make our legacy - organizing the generosity of our community to provide for the parents that need help nuturing their children to bloom.
So, from one mother to another, we are here to make it better for you.We are here to help you do better for your children. We will give you every trick up our sleeve and do our best to fill in the gaps. Life, family and love are all worth it.
