What is Remuda Ranch ?
Located in the high Sonoran desert 60 miles northwest of Phoenix, Remuda Ranch is the nation's Leading treatment facility for women and adolescent girls suffering from anorexia and bulimia.

Each patient is cared for by a treatment team of professionals, including a psychiatric and primary-care provider, psychologist, registered dietitian, registered nurse and master’s-level therapist.

How was Remuda Founded?
Ward Keller, founder of Remuda Ranch, developed this specialized treatment program as a result of helping his daughter in her battle with anorexia. Ward's experience with his daughter's illness and recovery inspired him to establish Remuda Ranch and help other families who have a loved one with an eating disorder. Remuda Ranch Programs for Anorexia and Bulimia opened in January of 1990 and now offer the highest standard of professional care.

As President and CEO, Ward remains actively involved in the day-to-day operations of Remuda. He also sits on the Board of the Wickenburg Regional Hospital, the National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA), and is an executive consultant to the Remuda Foundation.

EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION

Upon hire, staff are oriented to the Human Resources department and its various functions. Staff are then oriented to their department and receive a formal orientation to their job. The orientation process is continually monitored and where necessary, improved. Staff are given the opportunity to comment on their orientation through the Department/Job Orientation Questionnaire.

EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Remuda may grant education assistance for approved continuing education when such an expense is determined to be necessary for licensure, certification, or strategic development of the organization. Employee education assistance funds are available for full-time and part-time eligible employees after one year of service. Fund amounts are reviewed annually. Employee education assistance funds can be used for CEU's, tuition, licensing/certification fees, books or other miscellaneous education-related items as approved by the supervisor

SUPERVISION, PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS, AND ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

You will find that you will grow professionally just by being here. Formal systems for professional growth involve regular "supervision" with your supervisor to discuss work performance and areas for growth. 90-day and annual performance evaluations discuss your performance as it relates to your specific job duties.
