Blog Post: THINKING ABOUT CERTIFICATION?

Have you always thought about what life would be like for you as an HR Professional if you had your certification?  What would certification mean to advancing your career or enhancing your current workplace?  Well then maybe you should check out the upcoming PRH/SPHR prep class given by Jack Milligan SPHR, GPHR.

The HRCI Prep Class given by Jack Milligan SPHR, GPHR is a thirteen-week preparation course to ready individuals meeting the minimum qualifications to sit for the HRCI professional certification examination at the PHR or the SPHR level.  Individuals interested in re-certification credit may also take the class.  Each weekly class is three and one-half hours long and the course is 45 total classroom hours.  An additional 10-12 study hours outside of class is required each week.  It provides 4.5 Continuing Educational Units (CEU’s), a letter grade (A to F) depending upon academic performance.  A certificate from SHRM, suitable for framing, is provided upon successful completion with a minimum grade of 70% AND minimum attendance of 11 of the 13 classes.   

The SHRM Learning System is the primary text for the class and is included in the tuition cost.  This course is rigorous and includes eight examinations and eleven quizzes in thirteen weeks.

The next class begins on Tuesday evening February 12, 2008 and runs once per week for 13 weeks through May 6, 2008, from 6 to 9:30PM each Tuesday night.  This class is scheduled to finish just after the testing window for the HRCI Certification examination opens on May 1, 2008. 

Classes in Central Phoenix at Jobing.com University Room, weeknights starting in February and September.
