Blog Post: A Heinous Crime of Ignorance and Denial
posted Tuesday, October 20, 2009 8:52 AM
Today’s Arizona Republic article today just showed, yet again, how these murder/suicides can be prevented. Far too often employers just don’t get how they could help because they insist in thinking domestic violence is a private matter. I’m willing to bet that Gabriel Schwartz exhibited signs of depression and anger at work and no one was steering him into counseling. That’s why Human Resource Essential works with employers. Human Resource Essential articulates the significant impact to employers when their employees are victims, or perpetrators, of abuse. It’s the only firm in the country that provides this targeted focus or specialty on how domestic abuse hurts a company’s revenue and addresses corporate policy and culture. You know Gabriel’s coworkers and Dawn co-workers are talking about it now. More attention needs to be paid to prevention. Let alone Judge Padilla’s egregious ignorance. That’s a whole other conversation. Tags
