9:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.

Reasons to attend:  By 2014 nearly one-third of the total U.S. workforce (32%) will be age 50 or older, which will be a significant increase from 27% in 2005. These developments have shifted workplace demographic proportions. In 2006, "Boomers" held the majority of positions of power and influence in organizations across the U.S. and around the world. By 2011, the percentage of Boomers in the workforce is expected to drop while Millennial Generation workers will grow in numbers. These shifts impact corporate culture since priorities, attitudes and work styles differ with each generation.

The seminar's audience will consist of local employers, students, community members and faculty/staff with the goal of learning to appreciate and understand how to build teams and effectively communicate with four unique generations in the workplace.

Spaced is limited, so if you would like to attend, please RSVP to career.services@gcmail.maricopa.edu or call June at (623) 845-3286.
