posted Tuesday, April 14, 2009 8:07 AM
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Job seekers and employers are cordially invited to a “Managing a Multi-Generational Workforce” Seminar on Tuesday, April 21st 2009 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M., presented by David Mitchell, Arizona State Director of AARP. Come and hear how the 4 distinct generations now in the workplace will affect future competition, communication and productivity.
6000 W. Olive Avenue , Glendale , Arizona 85302 Tuesday, April 21st, 2009 9:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
Reasons to attend: By 2014 nearly one-third of the total U.S. workforce (32%) will be age 50 or older, which will be a significant increase from 27% in 2005. These developments have shifted workplace demographic proportions. In 2006, "Boomers" held the majority of positions of power and influence in organizations across the U.S. and around the world. By 2011, the percentage of Boomers in the workforce is expected to drop while Millennial Generation workers will grow in numbers. These shifts impact corporate culture since priorities, attitudes and work styles differ with each generation.
Spaced is limited, so if you would like to attend, please RSVP to career.services@gcmail.maricopa.edu or call June at (623) 845-3286.
