Blog Post: Employers are Supporting Education -- Experience Your Future Day on Thursday, April 30th
posted Friday, February 27, 2009 11:25 AM
Employers have issues today, but the best of the best are also looking at the long term and supporting education and the future workforce of the Valley. Sustainability of businesses will depend on educating our youth to fulfill positions for tomorrow.
Experience Your Future Day is a one-day experiential education event to support the workforce of tomorrow. The Jobing Foundation is hosting 7000 8th grade students from a variety of schools at the University of Phoenix Stadium on Thursday, April 30th. We're inviting employers to make the effort. Take the time out from one day in order to make a small investment in the Valley's economic future. Employers and volunteers are needed. Basic booths are free. Contributions and sponsorships are still being accepted to help underwrite the event and support both this and other workforce development initiatives that support both the current and future workforce. This event is closed to more participating students at this time in order to ensure that this event is a success. Our intention is to make this an annual event if possible and hope to expand it in the future. Please register your company or to volunteer personally online at www.ExperienceYourFuture.org. For questions, contact me at 602.795.2787 or vicki@jobingfoundation.org.
