SCOTTSDALE (Aug. 18, 2008) – Social networks are rapidly becoming the number one way to build contacts, look for new jobs or search for quality employees. This is especially true in a down economy where workers across a variety of industries are finding themselves out of a job. On Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Temple Chai, 4645 E. Marilyn Rd. in Phoenix, the Scottsdale Job Network Inc. will lead a Social Networking Platforms workshop to demonstrate how these networks can be used as effective lead generators.

At the workshop, social media expert Bill Austin, one of the most-connected networkers in the Phoenix area, will teach attendees how to use social networks to cultivate contacts, establish relationships with potential employers, build profiles to become more “findable,” and hone search techniques and strategies.
