Arizona Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) raise over $2,100 for the March of Dimes!More than half a million babies are born too soon every year. Many die. More than 120,000 babies are born with serious birth defects that can lead to a lifetime disabilities. The March of Dimes is leading the national fight to save babies from premature birth- the leading cause of newborn death- and from other serious threats to infant health. To help the March of Dimes further their mission, members of Arizona FBLA raised more than $2,100 at three state-wide conferences this past school year. Over the past four years, Arizona FBLA has raised well over $6,000 for the March of Dimes and they plan to continue the partnership. “Our students understand and support the idea of ‘giving back’ and because of our relationship with the March of Dimes, we are able to raise funds that will go towards helping to end premature births.” Arizona FBLA State Director – Ryan Hamilton. Over the last 30 years, the March of Dimes has had a successful partnership with FBLA. In this time, FBLA has raised over $12 million for the March of Dimes and reached hundreds of thousands of young people with our health and mission messages. FBLA is a dynamic organization of young people who are actively interested in pursuing careers in business. With over 225,000 members nation-wide, FBLA is the premier student business organization in the entire world. Along with scholarship, community service and civic service opportunities, FBLA provides recognition and leadership activities directly related to attainment of specific occupational and leadership skills.
