Jobing.com has announced Rick Thompson as company Vice President and the new general manager for greater Los Angeles.  Jobing.com serves some 18 major metropolitan areas in eight states, including branches in Los Angeles, Riverside, Irvine, and San Diego.  Jobing.com’s mission is to connect organizations and local people through an online employment community. 

Rick began his career with Jobing.com in 2002 when he was hired as an Inside Sales representative in Phoenix. He came to Jobing after serving as an aviation electrician in the U.S. Navy and gaining experience in sales and service positions at organizations such as Del Webb and Bank One. Rick moved to Outside Sales in May of 2004, and in February of 2005 he assisted in establishing Jobing.com's San Diego presence following the acquisition of Job Summit.  He assumed the role of General Manager, Colorado Operations in June of 2006, where he has served until today’s announcement.

Rich earned his Bachelor’s in Business Management and Marketing from the University of Phoenix and an MBA from the Ken Blanchard School of Business at Grand Canyon University; he holds a certificate in Effective Sales Management from the University of Michigan. When he is not busy inspiring the Jobing.com team to soar to new heights, Rick enjoys flying small aircraft, traveling abroad and spending time with his wife and two children.
