SUMMARY: The Technology Integration Coach is responsible for integrating instructional technology into the district curriculum and providing technology-related professional development training for teachers.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate • 5 years classroom teaching experience • Bachelor of Arts degree required • Master’s Degree in related field preferred • Adult training experience required • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office software • Experience with instructional software in grades K-8 • Write reports, correspondence and procedural manuals • Read, analyze and interpret professional journals and technical manuals • Work with mathematical concepts such as statistics, percentage and ratios • Solve problems and deal with a variety of variables • Apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program • Plan and implement lessons based upon state and district academic standards • Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents • Perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Governing Board policies Skills / Requirements
Technology Curriculum Integration
1.Identifies and implements best instructional practices for Language Arts, Mathematics and Reading from current educational research 2.Develops technology curriculum integration plan for Language Arts, Mathematics and Reading using Arizona Academic Standards, district curriculum and test data 3.Meets regularly with site principal and conducts grade level meetings at participating schools to implement Ed Tech grant technology goals 4.Assists site Technology Mentor Teacher with implementation of site and technology goals 5.Develops instructional units, including lesson plans, aligned to district curriculum 6.Development of school and classroom web sites Technology Literacy 1.Identifies and implements best instructional practices for Technology Literacy from current educational research 2.Develops grade-level implementation plans for technology literacy using Arizona and District technology plans 3.Develops grade-level technology literacy instructional units, including lesson plans Professional Development 1.Assists staff in completion of on-line instructional technology-related professional development pre- and post-survey 2.Conducts technology training needs assessment 3.Assists teachers with implementation of technology in the classroom through team teaching 4.Conducts technology integration workshops using available software resources, including Microsoft Windows and Office, for staff 5.Implements on-line training opportunities for staff using available resources 6.Completes quarterly newsletters for staff and parents Important Notes
