Skills / Requirements
The Financial Operations Department at St Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our team! The Senior Financial Analyst will assist with the responsibilities of the Finance department to facilitate efficient and effective management of the operations of the Medical Center. This will include assisting Management of the Medical Center with strategic, financial and capital planning, coordination, evaluation and reporting activities. Responsibilities also include productivity analysis and communication, financial projections, budgets, financial performance and statement analysis, revenue cycle monitoring and analysis, identification, evaluation and implementation of potential operational efficiencies, internal control evaluation and implementation, and other duties as may be identified to assist with management of the Medical Center. This position is responsible to ensure that timely, proactive, consistent and accurate reporting of financial and statistical information is in accordance with GAAP. Participation in medical group practice management and research activities is also required. This position will directly interact with a variety of stakeholders including internal and external communications to include large group presentations.

Significant exposure to financial planning and analysis, budgets, revenue cycle activities to include CDM maintenance, internal control effectiveness, general ledger accounting, internal and external auditors, working directly with clinical operations, financial, statistical and productivity reporting and analysis, will allow for successful acclimation into the finance environment. The Senior Financial Analyst will be a high energy, flexible team member and need to possess superior professional communication skills and be able to convey complex financial and statistical information to a variety of audiences in an understandable and professional manner. This individual will be a self-started who can, in a team environment, proactively identify opportunities for improvement, efficiently develop effective plans, and successfully implement those plans within a reasonable period of time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Educational Requirements:
Master's degree and CPA or eight years related experience with BA degree in related field required.

Experience Requirements:
Five years accounting or finance experience with at least two years in a tertiary hospital setting.
