POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing the coordination and administration of all aspects of Childhelp Cummings Community Center, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities. Responsible for oversight and provision of case management of Cummings families as well as coordinating with service agencies within the One Stop Cummings Social Service Program.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Manages the day-to-day operations of Cummings and provides management support for all aspects of the program, in accordance with the mission and goals of Childhelp
•Implements program strategies to successfully achieve goals and objectives for the program, at the direction of the Director
•Continually reviews programmatic goals and objectives, reporting outcomes and making recommendations to the Director
•Ensures appropriate staffing levels and training to ensure delivery of quality services
•Recruits, interviews, and selects well-qualified program staff, in consultation with the Director
•Supervises program staff by providing direction, input, and feedback, conducting staff evaluations, and providing ongoing staff development activities
•Conducts staff meeting on a scheduled basis; develops agenda with input from Director
•Identifies and evaluates risks associated with program activities and takes appropriate actions to control risks
•Monitors program activities on a regular basis; coordinates district annual evaluation meetings and assists in the program review
•Responds to program evaluations with corrective plans of action, in coordination with the Director
•Attends community meetings and networking groups, as appropriate, to highlight the offerings of Cummings and to remain a quality community partner
•Ensures that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of Childhelp and continually updates policies at the direction of the Director
•Ensures that program activities comply with all relevant legislation, professional standards, and DHS licensing requirements, including staff orientations and training
•Oversees the collection and maintenance of records regarding clients of the program, according to the confidentiality and privacy policies of Childhelp

Fiscal

•Responsible for operating the program within budgetary guidelines; assists in budget development and identifies projected budget needs and costs
•Approves all program, classroom, and administrative purchases for Cummings
•Manages all project and/or grant funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
•Ensures financial reports and supporting documentation for funders are prepared and communicated, as outlined in funding agreements
•Provides and submits required invoice information to funders according to established timelines

Outreach

•Develops and executes, in conjunction with the Director, a comprehensive marketing plan, including:
–Identifying needs of referral sources and developing quarterly plans to meet these needs;
–Executing strategies to open new referral sources, increase penetration into existing sources, and increase client census;
–Tracking, monitoring and analyzing contacts to meet or exceed marketing plan objectives; and
–Submitting related marketing activity reports on a timely basis

•Actively manages referral sources, including:
–Maintaining knowledge of key sources, the market, industry trends, competitors, and leading competitive strategies;
–Developing, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with key referral sources, key opinion leaders, and strategic partners;
–Establishing a pre-call strategy for each referral contact;
–Suggesting plans to secure new business or expand current business; and
–Working with the Director to determine key contacts and sources for improving goals and to set contact goals
•Performs other related duties, as assigned

Skills / Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

•Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, teaching, or other related field
•3-5 years demonstrated experience in program management and community outreach
•Strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills
•Experience with complex problem-solving and development of short and long-term organizational goals and budgets
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Solid marketing and presentation skills
•Self-starter, highly motivated, and possesses a strong work ethic
•Possesses excellent judgment
•Ability to build relationships with external sources with a strong customer focus
•Ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
•Possesses a valid driver license
•Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
